Dear Colleagues
The management and I would like to thank you all for your continued resilience in this
challenging new world that we have found ourselves in. While Covid-19 has not yet been
eradicated, life has slowly started to return back to normal, travel has become a little easier
and the feeling of cabin fever (which I must admit I have had as well) can now ease. We must
continue to be vigilant and I urge you all to get the booster shot, it is only going to help you
overcome the virus in the unfortunate event you being exposed to it.
The first half of the year has started slow but we are cautiously optimistic that the second
half of the year is going to be much better. All the signs are there to show that the industry
is recovering from the many years of decline, albeit slowly. There are many challenges for
us, biggest being a threat to our market share with quite a few new players entering the
market. We are in advance stages of finalizing some capital expenditures to improve our
current services and also to add newer services to our portfolio. These will come to fruition
over the next 6-12 months. I believe all the good work we have done, as a team, over the
past many years will keep us in a good position with customers and any impact new
competition will have on us should be marginal. The only way forward is to do the job better
than the competition. We always welcome new ideas and I welcome you all to put in some
thoughts about how we can be do your particular areas of expertise in a superior manner.
Continuous improvement is the only way forward. This will enable us to grab as much future
business as possible.
As usual, I will end with an inspirational quote, this time from one of the great minds that
has ever lived, Stephen Hawking “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change”. Let’s not
be afraid of change, more often than not it brings about positive outcomes.
