Dear Colleagues,
I had hoped that I would be writing to you this time with better
news on COVID-19 pandemic. As you may have seen in the
news, we are still in the midst of it and its vital that we all play
our part in ensuring and safeguarding our collective health and
interests.
In one of way or another, this devastating virus has by now personally affected us all
in different ways. Please continue to follow government guidelines. Additionally, I urge
you all to sign up to be vaccinated, which the Bahrain government has very
generously offered for free. The vaccine only works if 70%-80% of the population is
inoculated and we must do our part. From all the reports I have read, the benefits
outweigh the risks by manyfolds.
On business front, we continue to wait for the market to recover. The rate of recovery
is incredibly slow and is painful to watch. Enquiry levels are good but rate of
conversation to order is not what we are expecting as everyone is waiting for market
conditions to get better before spending. I know these are tough times and as I’ve said
before I am proud to be part of this team who has shown the spirit to take this challenge
head on. I am hopeful that in the coming months the market will recover, all signs point
that way. We will be resilient, keep our chin up and things will improve. Panicking is not
our modus operandi.
As we monitor the evolving situation, be assured that you have the management’s
support. I will leave you with a quote from Abraham Lincoln: “Let no feeling of
discouragement prey upon you, and in the end you are sure to succeed”.
Stay healthy and safe!
Regards,
Asif Vorajee

If you FAIL, never give up because F.A.I.L means
“First Attempt In Learning”.
End is not the end, in fact E.N.D. means "Effort
Never Dies"
If you get No as an answer, remember N.O. means
"Next Opportunity".
So let’s be positive
