GM Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues
First, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! May 2020
bring you all the success you deserve, personally and professionally.
The new year also bring to a close the third quarter of our financial year
and it has been a record breaking one. We have all far exceeded our
earlier expectations and all your hard work has really shown. We
continue to grab more market share by attracting new customers and at
the same time strengthen our relationships with existing ones. You can
be proud of the fact that we are ensuring we continue to provide the
best possible products and services to our customers.
At Group level, we are continuing our upwards trajectory but we have to
be vary of the challenges and volatility that the whole industry is facing.
Please look out for Group results that will be announced later in January
and will be up on our website, for better understanding of we are doing
For 2020 and beyond, let us make a commitment to address our
challenges and bring improvements all around. We will be starting some
campaigns to address and mitigate our environmental impact and I hope
you all will take a keen interest in this to make it a success, each one of
us has to do their part to reverse the decline our planet is facing.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a Mechanical Engineering and have been working in the oilfield for 11 years, starting my career with
Algoa Oil and Pipeline Services in South Africa. Algoa was later taken over by NOV were I ended up spending
majority of my working career. I am curren
Being a Mechanical Engineer, I have always been interested in how things work and how to make them
better. This fueled my passion for motorsport and as a result, I have been racing karts / cars from a young
age.
2. What is on your wish list for the next 10 years?
Complete my MBA, settled in my Career and start a family.
3. How do you define success?
Someone who has managed to find the perfect balance of work life as well as time with family! I think it is
important for a person to not lose sight on what truly matters in life.
4. If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Formula 1 racing driver.
5. If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?
Scuba diving gear, Spear (for spearfishing) and a camouflaged tent (cannot be found so easily) you see were
this is going right?

Working in the automotive Industry - designing jigs, fixtures and coming up with production solutions to
improve product quality, repeatability and production for well-known brands like Volkswagen, Toyota,
Isuzu, Ford and Volvo.
7. What do you find the most challenging at MTQ?
Ensuring that we staying on top of all the work currently in hand.
