I would like to thank you all for the continuous positive progress we have achieved all
around, despite the harder market environment in which we are operating. Such
advancement would not be possible if not for your collective efforts. Safety is of the
utmost top of our priorities!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome and introduce our new Safety Officer
Mr. Shafeea Abbas Albahhari. I would like to urge you all to extend him your best
cooperation. Ultimately, his task is to look out for the welfare of all of you and your
families.

THE CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Dear Colleagues,
April 2019 kicked off our new financial year, with emphasis on the new. So first of all, let thank
you for your commitment and spirit. In the past three months, we proved once again how
fundamentally strong this company is.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new colleagues and wish them all best
wishes and success in their roles.
The first quarter of FY20 could hardly have been more challenging because we had to maintain
our relatively strong showing in FY19. While the Group results show that we are undergoing a
sustained recovery, we are satisfied with the progress we are making. Let me give you some
examples of the successes we have achieved despite the difficult environment:
In collaboration with our sister company Inline Valve Co., we have successfully introduced
and sold MTQ/ILV valves in the market and the financial results are very encouraging.
Because of MTQ/ILV valves, we have managed to secure Choke and Kill Manifold orders.
One is due for delivery end of July and other in October.
We are seeing a return of BOP repair work from NOV, which had declined at the tail end of
2018 and start of 2019.
We have secured substantial wellhead repair work from BHGE and we are in discussion to
secure more of this work.
We could not have been achieved all of this without your commitment and teamwork. For that,
all Management colleagues and I would like once again to offer you our profound thanks. We are
a strong company and we will continue to get a stronger, better MTQOS.

How long have you been working with MTQ?
I can see here that I am proud joining MTQ since July 2017,
can’t believe two years has run fast with lovely people.
What do you find the most rewarding about your role?
The most rewarding part of Human Resources is the welfare of our
employees. We strive to support our employees as best as we can. This
means that responding to their needs, and listening to their concerns. On
other side we ensure that the company complies with Kingdom’s
employment laws.
Why did you choose to work in Human Resources?
I have always been a people person. I am interested in understanding what
motivates people, their culture and how they think; I guess that is why I was
attracted to the Human Resources field.
What are the challenges Facing HR team?
The Human Resources Team faces a myriad of challenges every day, and every day
we strive to overcome these challenges and improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of the team. One of the greatest problems we face is that when the
HR department ask to see an employee they think they are in trouble! We want
employees to understand that we are here to support them and they should feel
comfort approaching us, as we really here to serve them.
What is the busiest day of the week?
Every day is a busy day in the HR department! There is no specific day that is busier
than the rest as we are working hard for our staff every single day.
What do you think are keys to being successful at work?
It is important to question why is something is done the way it is. You can ask
yourself whether what you are doing is adding value to the company; or whether
you are doing it because it is simply something that has “always been done”. We
should all be striving to do things better, think creatively, and be more innovative
in the way we work.
Any last words?
I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all MTQ staff and
management for making me feel so welcomed when I joined. I look forward to
working with you all for many years to come.
